What To Expect

Psychotherapy is a form of talk therapy with the underlying principle that a person’s thought processes and behaviours affect the way they interact with the world.

The general aim is to help people feel better equipped to manage stress, identify and understand patterns in their behaviour that may interfere with reaching their goals, have more fulfilling relationships, and better regulate emotional responses to stressful situations.

 

However, it is important to note that one of the most essential ingredients of successful therapy is a solid connection between client and therapist.

I endeavour to offer you a space where you will be met with understanding, empathy and patience and I hope to help you achieve change in whatever may have brought you to therapy.

​

In your first session, we will get to know each other and I may ask you some questions about your background and your hopes, needs, and concerns to help me establish the best ways to approach our sessions together.
